Oxfam America

Boston, MA

oxfamMore than one billion people, or one-third of the world’s population, live on less than $1 a day. For millions of people, escaping poverty seems impossible. Oxfam America, an international humanitarian and development organization and affiliate of Oxfam International, has been working for over 35 years to address the root causes of poverty and help people gain hope, skills, and direction to create new futures for themselves. Oxfam is also bold in the global arena, addressing social injustice through advocacy campaigns, public education, and emergency assistance programs. CCS conducted a feasibility and planning study for Oxfam America in the fall of 2004 and is currently assisting Oxfam America in planning for its campaign.

Education * Remembrance * Conscience

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington D.C.

United States Holocaust Memorial MuseumCCS managed and restructured the museum’s development operations and evaluated the potential for a major endowment campaign. The Museum is America's national institution for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history, and serves as this country's memorial to the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust. The primary mission is to advance and disseminate knowledge about this unprecedented tragedy; to preserve the memory of those who suffered; and to encourage its visitors to reflect upon the moral and spiritual questions raised by the events of the Holocaust, as well as their own responsibilities as citizens of a democracy. CCS assisted in more than doubling the amount raised for both the Annual Fund and Endowment - bringing in over $86 million during its three years working with the Museum.
