Campaign For St. John's University

St. John's University, Jamaica, New York

St. John’s University is one of America’s leading Catholic universities - recognized for its world-class academic programs, rich student life, vibrant diversity and Big East vitality. Founded in 1870 by the Vincentian Community and located in New York City, St. John’s has distinguished itself by giving students the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to serve others and achieve lasting success - personally, professionally, and spiritually. To ensure a future as strong as its past, the University embarked upon the historic Fulfilling The Dream campaign impacting scholarships, academic programs, faculty support, facilities, and technology. This highly successful campaign recently surpassed its $250 million goal, raising over $271 million. CCS is pleased to have assisted St. John’s University in this effort.

Health

Building On Excellence

Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL

Tampa General Hospital (TGH), founded in 1927, is a healthcare facility rich in tradition and recognized on the state and national level as a leader in a variety of medical fields. TGH is an 877-bed facility that houses one of the nation's busiest Organ Transplant Centers, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Regional Burn Center, and a Spinal Cord and Head Injury Center. In addition, as West Central Florida's sole Level One Trauma Center, medical teams stand by around the clock to treat the most severely ill or injuredpatients. Last year, TGH's Emergency Room treated more than 64,000 people in a facility that was originally built to serve 40,000 annually. CCS is proud to assist TGH with its Building on Excellence capital campaign, which recently surpassed its $10 million financial goal.

Cultural

A Time For Greatness

Nashville Symphony, Nashville, TN

With the opening of Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Nashville Symphony took its place among the rising stars in the classical music field.  As the “cornerstone of the performing arts” in the Middle Tennessee region, the Symphony presents more than 200 concerts for audiences of more than 300,000, and brings music education programming to over 70,000 school children from 20 counties.  CCS is proud to have assisted the Nashville Symphony in raising more than $123.5 million to support the orchestra's rise to national prominence, expand its music education programs and open Nashville's newest landmark, Schermerhorn Symphony Center.  The Symphony's A Time for Greatness campaign set a new benchmark for philanthropy in the region, attracting unprecedented support from more than 4,000 Middle Tennessee residents.

Campaign Kent Denver:
Pride In Our Past, Committed To Our Future

Kent Denver School, Englewood, CO

Kent Denver School serves 650 students in grades 6 through 12, embracing a mission of “excellence in scholarship and character.” To ensure a future as strong as its past, Kent Denver partnered with CCS to create Campaign Kent Denver — the most ambitious fund-raising effort in its 84-year history. This comprehensive campaign has exceeded its $17 million goal by raising $19.2 million to date. Campaign Kent Denver has positioned the school to better serve the needs of its community and solidify its reputation as one of the leading independent schools in the United States for decades to come.

Together for Tomorrow

New England Conference of the United Methodist Church

Spread across six states, the New England Conference of the United Methodist Church represents more than 500 churches – with active memberships ranging from 8 to over 200 active members.  In Together for Tomorrow, conference members accepted the challenge of raising $10 million to support congregational development, pastoral health care in retirement, international missions in Nicaragua and West Angola, camp and retreat ministries, and local church priorities.  By June 2006, the conference had recorded more than $15.6 million in pledges.

Campaign SightFirst II

Lions Clubs International, Oak Brook, IL

Founded in Chicago in 1917, Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service organization with nearly 1.3 million members in 45,000 clubs in 202 countries and geographic areas around the world.  Community-based clubs are united in a global effort to support Lions Clubs International Foundation’s (LCIF) flagship blindness-prevention program SightFirst. CCS is proud to have guided LCIF in Campaign SightFirst II and its predecessor, Campaign SightFirst. Combined, these global capital campaigns have raised more than US$300 million and helped Lions to save the sight of more than 50 million people, while improving eye care for hundreds of millions more.

Oxfam America

Boston, MA

More than one billion people, or one-third of the world's population, live on less than $1 a day. For millions of people, escaping poverty seems impossible. Oxfam America, an international humanitarian and development organization and affiliate of Oxfam International, has been working for over 35 years to address the root causes of poverty and help people gain hope, skills, and direction to create new futures for themselves. Oxfam is also bold in the global arena, addressing social injustice through advocacy campaigns, public education, and emergency assistance programs. CCS conducted a feasibility and planning study for Oxfam America in the fall of 2004 and is currently assisting Oxfam America in planning for its campaign.

The Acrin Fund For Imaging Innovation

American College of Radiology (ACR), Reston, VA    

For over three quarters of a century, the American College of Radiology (ACR) has devoted its resources to making imaging safe, effective, and accessible to those in need by providing training and certification programs for its nearly 33,000 members. The ACR Imaging Network (ACRIN®), a national clinical trials consortium under the leadership of ACR, is dedicated to conducting clinical cancer trials of diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapeutic technologies as they relate to cancer. To fulfill the promise of ACRIN® and accomplish new goals, ACR established The ACRIN Fund for Imaging Innovation. This campaign - the first of its kind for ACR - seeks to raise monies for the ACRIN® Fund by reaching out to corporations, foundations, and individual members for philanthropic support. Although the campaign is still underway, ACR has already exceeded its $5,000,000 goal. More significant gifts are expected as others are invited to participate in the ground-breaking work of ACRIN®. CCS is proud to be assisting ACR with this highly successful effort in the fight against cancer.

Environmental

Katahdin Lake Campaign

The Trust for Public Land, Portland, ME

The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving land for people. Since 1972, TPL has partnered with willing landowners, community groups, and government agencies to complete more than 3,000 land conservation projects in 46 states. CCS is proud to have served TPL and their project partners, the Maine Department of Conservation and the Baxter State Park Authority, who recently celebrated the successful completion of the Katahdin Lake Campaign. This historic effort surpassed a $14 million fund-raising goal and permanently conserved more than 6,000 acres including old growth forests and miles of pristine shoreline surrounding Katahdin Lake. Inspired by the incomparable vision and generosity of the park's founding benefactor, Governor Percival P. Baxter, the Katahdin Lake Campaign engaged the philanthropic support of more than 1,200 private donors. On May 15, 2007, Baxter State Park welcomed the first of their nearly 100,000 annual guests to experience the peaceful splendor of Katahdin Lake.

More Than Houses Campaign

Habitat for Humanity International, Americus, GA

Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976 and is now a worldwide grass-roots movement dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing. Operating in more than 80 countries around the world, more than 1 million people live in Habitat homes throughout the world. The More Than Houses Campaign, charled by former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Jack Kemp, raised more than $593, 775, 000 on its $500,000,000 goal and funded the construction of 100,000+ homes over the past five years.
