Eliza’s passion for fundraising was ignited while in elementary school when she and her mom recruited a group of her classmates to make and sell American flag pins to support 9/11 relief efforts. After moving across the country at 16, Eliza convinced the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to allow her to bring the event to her new town. Not only did the inaugural event raise nearly the double fundraising goal established the Relay for Life, but after establishing and leading the event for two years, Eliza trained fellow students to take it over following her graduation. This experience solidified Eliza’s desire to pursue a career designing and implementing strategic fundraising campaigns.
