Brian has dedicated his professional career to strategic fundraising and philanthropy. As a relationship builder he believes in fostering genuine connections with clients, donors, volunteer leaders, and key stakeholders. As a strategic thought partner, he provides clients with forward-thinking and action-oriented counsel.

Since joining CCS in 2021, Brian has partnered with a variety of nonprofits including organizations in the Education, Advocacy, and Environmental sectors. He has directed multiple Campaign Feasibility and Planning Studies and Development Assessments, all of which have provided clients with comprehensive recommendations and strategic feedback to consider as they embark on transformative philanthropic endeavors. Brian currently manages a $65M capital campaign, is a CCS Pride ERG Steering Committee member, and leads the New York team’s New Director Cohort, a group dedicated to building community among directors in their first year at CCS.

Brian has extensive expertise in higher education fundraising, previously as part of the Principal and Major Gifts team at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he led the creation of a regional strategic plan. At Ohio State University, Brian served as the Fundraising Chair for the Higher Education Professional Student Association.

In volunteer capacities, Brian has served as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees at Denison University, and recently finished a three-year tenure as the Foundation Board Associate for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Foundation, where he was awarded “Outstanding Service to the Foundation” in 2021. Brian currently serves as the Steering Committee Chair for the LGBTQIA+ Alumni Association, Denison Pride, and as Fundraising Chair of his Class Reunion committee.

Brian holds a Masters in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Denison University. He is a former NCAA National Champion and six-time All-American in Diving and is currently the volunteer Assistant Men’s and Women’s Diving Coach at Columbia University. He was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, has lived and worked in Paris, France, and enjoys the many restaurants in downtown Manhattan.

Carly joined CCS in 2021 with 8 years of strategic fundraising experience and a passion for developing meaningful relationships between donors and organizations. Prior to joining CCS, Carly served as the Associate Director of Development at Commonwealth School in Boston, MA. She directed and grew Commonwealth’s annual fund and oversaw alumni/ae and parent relations. She also assisted with fundraising and strategic planning for the school’s $12.5 million capital campaign. In addition to her frontline fundraising work, Carly has experience in prospect research, data analysis, and stewardship.

At CCS, Carly has worked with a variety of schools in the New England area. The scope of her work has included comprehensive campaign design, planning studies, and assessments.

Carly earned her BA in psychology and dance from Muhlenberg College. She currently lives in Boston with her husband and dog, Nelson.
