Sarah has 18 years of experience in the higher education and human services sectors. She brings expertise in fundraising data systems, capacity building for successful fundraising, and leading strategic change for nonprofits.
As an Assistant Vice President with CCS, Sarah supports federated nonprofits in achieving their transformational change goals. Client outcomes include:
- Refining, testing, and deploying fundraising strategies to help achieve a diversified, sustainable base of support
- Improving methods to capture, analyze, and utilize more data to maximize donor lifetime value
- Standing up learning and development modules to build the capacity of fundraising teams
Recently Sarah led a development research team at Duke University, delivering intelligence to strategically engage constituents and raise money for Duke’s people and programs. When the world went remote in 2020, Sarah built eLearning modules in Sakai to take training for Duke’s new development hires online.
Other highlights from nearly two decades of client work include analyzing complex systems to develop adaptive strategy with Open Society Foundations, Skoll Foundation, the Omidyar Group, and other global philanthropies.
Sarah grew up in North Carolina and earned the Manly E. Wright valedictory award while working towards her B.A. in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. At Yale University, she edited an international journal, taught graduate-level macro-economics, and received her M.A. in International Relations with a Certificate in Development.
