Natalie joined CCS in 2011 and has served clients spanning education, faith-based, human service, arts and culture, healthcare, international, environment, public media, and association sectors. She has conducted numerous capital campaigns, feasibility and planning studies, development assessments, annual fund enhancements, strategic plans, and special development projects. Natalie has served as Counsel on campaigns that have cumulatively raised more than $1 billion, including multiple $100 million gifts.

Natalie serves on the Client Services Committee of the CCS Board of Directors. She facilitates training courses for CCS Directors, presents fundraising sessions for AFP, TABS, SAIS, FCIS, VAIS, AISGW, AIMS, AMCSUS, and a variety of conferences, and has chaired CCS’s Recruitment Committee. She was recognized for her work in CCS’s Mid- and South-Atlantic Region with the Dennick M. W. Skeels Memorial Award in 2015. Natalie recently concluded a four-year term on the Board Executive Committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) DC Chapter. Natalie graduated cum laude from University of Delaware with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Natalie resides in Reston, VA with her husband and two sons.

Sarah is Principal and Managing Director at CCS Fundraising, where she leads the firm’s Boston office and serves as a member of the CCS Board of Directors. Since joining CCS in 2012, Sarah has advised institutions across the nonprofit sector—including healthcare, education, science, culture, and social justice—on ambitious fundraising efforts with goals ranging from $3 million to $8 billion. Her expertise includes campaign planning studies, major gift program development, interim development leadership, and comprehensive capital campaign management. She has specific experience helping organizations with emerging or startup fundraising programs scale for transformational growth.

Under Sarah’s leadership, the New England office has more than doubled in size and impact. She has also helped lead strategic direction for the firm as co-chair of the Board’s Innovation Committee and current chair of the Business Strategy Committee. Sarah is the co-founder of CCS Elevate, the firm’s platform for advancing thought leadership in philanthropy.

A frequent speaker and sought-after advisor, Sarah has presented at industry conferences including AFP, AHP, CASE, AAMC, and Women in Development. Her insights have been featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and in several nonprofit sector podcasts.

Sarah’s background in political fundraising and her experience living and working in diverse communities across the U.S. have shaped her people-centered approach to leadership. She is committed to community and creativity through her service on the board of Arts for Learning Massachusetts, the host committee for Boston Medical Center, and performing with a flute ensemble through the Boston Flute Academy. Doug London has been with CCS for nearly a decade and in fundraising for his entire professional career. Having grown up in a household where giving back was prioritized, Doug learned at a young age the power and value that philanthropy can have in communities around the world. Today, he brings forward this same philosophy to his children and continues to be driven by the ability to make a positive impact through his career.

As a lifelong learner and empathetic leader, Doug believes that every successful partnership starts and ends with mutual learning – providing to his clients strategic, action-oriented counsel and learning just as much in return. He begins every client engagement with the knowledge that the right answers are not immediately known but discovered, believing that the best solutions, recommendations, and path forward are established by building trusting, enduring relationships.

As a Managing Director, Doug leads a variety of partnerships and client engagements across the United States and beyond. His areas of expertise include fundraising planning, leadership and major gift strategy, donor stewardship, and development staff coaching and management.

Outside of his client-facing work, Doug is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive CCS. He spearheaded the creation of Pride at CCS, the firm’s first LGBTQI+ employee resource group, and continues to serve as the group’s leader and executive sponsor. He also lead’s the firm’s Working Parents and Caregivers Community, and serves as a member of the DEI Committee of the Board of Directors.

Likewise, Doug is committed to advancing equality in his community and currently serves as a Board Member and Development Committee Chair of Family Equality, a national organization working to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families, and a member of the Jewish Federation of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, serving as their LGBTQ+ affinity group Co-Chair.

Barri joined CCS in 2010, bringing eight years of experience in the legal profession. Barri concentrated on family law and immigration issues, as well as corporate litigation and restructuring.

At CCS, Barri has counseled clients on planning studies and development department assessments, in addition to campaign activation and implementation. Barri practices as a generalist and has a breadth of sector experience in independent schools, higher education, hospitals and healthcare, advocacy, federated organizations, religious centers, and cultural institutions.

Fundraising goals under Barri’s purview range from $10 million to $1.2 billion. During Barri’s tenure with CCS, she has led organizations through nationwide planning studies, intensive campaign goal-setting, case development, and pipeline building. Barri advises on the resources needed to build, enhance, and sustain ambitious fundraising goals, such as volunteer leadership structures, staffing requirements, and incorporating critical fundraising tools into everyday practice. She presents complicated and nuanced information to leadership and has advised on donor engagement and solicitations for 6-9 figure gifts.

Barri received her BA from University of Michigan and her JD from Brooklyn Law School.

A Pacific Northwest native, Katlyn leads our office in Seattle and spearheads our PNW partnerships. Her client engagements span all major nonprofit sectors, and her expertise includes campaign planning and management, development planning and assessments, and major and principal giving initiatives. She has planned and advised on campaign goals ranging from $2 million to $600 million.

Katlyn believes that fundraising is about more than just resource development; it can advance all facets of an organization’s mission, and it should be positive, dignified, and inclusive experience for all involved. Katlyn brings a data-driven mindset and CCS’s unparalleled expertise to every project, and she is committed to grounding every engagement in the client’s culture and values.

Katlyn regularly presents on fundraising trends and strategies both locally and nationally. Her passion for mission-based work was sparked as a child when she volunteered at a local homeless shelter.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Arizona State University, Katlyn began her career as a High School English teacher and is a Teach for America alumna. She is proud to be a founding board member for Mobile Pathways, an organization facilitating justice for immigrants and refugees.

Ian Swedish, Managing Director, is a CCS Partner that leads the Philadelphia, Australia and networked nonprofit markets. His work spans organizations that are regional, national, and global in scale. Ian joined CCS in 2010 and brings over 22 years of experience overlapping support in the nonprofit and private sectors as a consultant and manager. He counsels nonprofit clients in strategic planning initiatives, feasibility analysis, data analytics, capital campaigns, and broad scale plan activation. He has led transformational initiatives across all sectors and the globe for clients that generate annual philanthropic revenue ranging from $3 million to $5 billion.

Ian has developed a deep skillset on the intersection of data and fundraising strategy. He led the firm’s data analytics special strategic planning initiative to develop a shared service platform working across CCS that provides stand-alone services such as predictive modeling, forecasting, and benchmarking for fundraising strategy and planning.

Additionally, Ian provides leadership of a private family foundation guiding strategy for over $50 million in assets and its annual philanthropic distribution. The foundation supports charities across the globe to create a more socially equitable and just world through the lens of education and opportunity. Ian also serves as a Board member for various organizations working in the nonprofit and education space.

Ian is an active member of the Philadelphia community and currently serves on boards at the PHILADELPHIA250 and Cristo Rey High School as well as a foster parent.

Ian holds an MBA and MPP from the Ross School of Business and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He received a BA in Philosophy from the University of Vermont and studied at the University of Wollongong in New South Wales.

Eric Javier is a Principal and Managing Director with CCS Fundraising, the largest fundraising strategy and management firm in the world.  For more than 20 years Eric has been a trusted advisor to leading nonprofit executives, trustees, and development leaders.  He has helped design and implement more than 200 fundraising campaigns and initiatives that have raised over $2 billion to make a positive difference in communities all around the world.  Eric’s primary areas of expertise include feasibility and planning studies; capital and endowment campaigns; major donor programs; principal gift solicitation strategies; strategic development planning; case messaging and storytelling; board development; and coaching and training.

“The truest definition of philanthropy is ‘love of humanity.’ It’s a privilege to work with passionate leaders who are working so hard to make positive change in the world. Philanthropy is the fuel that makes that change possible,” says Eric. Eric frequently speaks about philanthropy and development strategy at professional conferences, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and the League of American Orchestras.

Brad Patterson is an Executive Vice President based out of CCS Fundraising’s Central United States offices, serving Catholic, diocesan clients across the United States and Canada. In partnership with CCS Principal and Managing Directors, Brad leads the design and day-to-day management of all CCS staff assigned to our diocesan projects. He has dedicated his career to studying, innovating and side-by-side partnership in support of Catholic, diocesan initiatives. With over 25 years of experience, Brad has been at the forefront of this sector, bringing the best practices from across the country to each client partnership.

Brad has designed and managed fundraising campaigns that have raised more than $2 billion in support of local parishes and diocesan ministries for client partners. He is a thought leader in the religious sector and a mentor to hundreds of current and former CCS employees.

With an expertise in the management of large, volunteer led, multi-organizational campaigns, Brad is a strategist, educator, partner, mentor, and storyteller. He partners with organizations to help turn their vision into reality. Brad leads our partnership with ICSC, support for ICSC regional gatherings in the Central United States, our partnership with a CCS led Diocesan Advisory Council, our partnership with #IGiveCatholic and our internal Catholic Service Team.

Brad resides in Austin, Texas, where he has partnered with the Diocese of Austin to lead their first two diocesan campaigns over the past 18 years. He is a proud graduate of Indiana University and enjoys hiking, exercise, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Over the course of his career he has designed, advised and directed dozens of resource development initiatives that have raised collectively over $10 billion, positively impacting people and communities of across country.

Ted is a recognized expert in philanthropy and has lead presentations and workshops for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education – National Associate of Independent Schools (CASE-NAIS). Ted is the Co-Chair of CCS Healthcare Practice Group and a longtime member of CCS Learning Faculty.
