Community Counselling Services Co. (“CCS,” “us,” “we,” “our,” or “Company”) created this Privacy Policy to apply to users of our  website, http://www.ccsfundraising.com/ (the “Website”), including all digital assets contained in or offered on the Website, any mobile messaging program (the “Messaging Program”), and related offline activities (collectively, our “Services”), except as described below.  . This Privacy Policy describes, among other things, the types of information we collect from users, in furtherance of our Services, how the information is used, and how users can access their information.

This Privacy Policy is integrated into, and supplements, any other Terms & Conditions of Use (“Terms & Conditions”). By using the Services and providing your information (defined below), you acknowledge and agree to the information practices described in this Privacy Policy and accompanying Terms & Conditions, including updates to these policies posted here from time to time. We will provide notice to you if changes are material and, where required by applicable law, obtain your sent. Your continued use of the Website and/or Services is deemed to be acceptance of any updates or changes to this Privacy Policy and/or Terms & Conditions. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by, or provided in connection with, an individual’s application for employment, current or former employment, or independent contractor arrangement with CCS.

Information We Collect

CCS may collect the following categories of Information, in conjunction with our Services, described in more detail below and including one or more of the following: (A) information you provide to us; (B) information we may automatically collect; (C) information collected by cookies and technologies; and (D) information we may receive from third parties. The covered information herein is collectively referred to as “Information” and may encompass “Personal Information” or “Personal Data”, as those terms are defined under applicable law. Information may include any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, who could be identified either directly or indirectly by reference to an identifier such as name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.
A. Information You Provide to Us
In furtherance of CCS’ provision of Services, you may provide us with Information, including one or more of the following:

  • Individual identifiers, such as name, username, and/or date of birth;
  • Contact information, such as ​​mailing address, telephone number, and/or email address;
  • Commercial information, such as products and/or Services purchased, obtained, and/or considered;
  • Communications, preferences, and other Information provided to us, such as messages (including via webforms), opinions, and feedback that provided to us, user preferences (e.g., regarding receipt of updates or marketing information), and/or other Information shared with CCS when contacted us directly (e.g., via customer support services); and/or

Additional Information as otherwise described at the point of collection and/or pursuant to mutual agreement/consent.

Sensitive Information
CCS may collect and/or process Information, deemed under certain laws as “sensitive information” or “sensitive data” within one or more of the following categories:

  • Geolocation data, such as physical location, if location services are enabled on relevant devices;
    Authentication data, such as account personal information and log in credentials, including unique identifiers such as username, account number, and password;
  • Payment Information, such as debit or credit card information, in combination with a required security or access code, collected for purpose of processing payment for products or Services.
  • Social Security number;
  • Driver’s license number;
  • State identification card number; and/or
  • Passport number.

If required by applicable law, CCS will collect consent, prior to collection and/or processing of information potentially included in one of the categories of sensitive Information described above.

B. Information We May Automatically Collect About You

CCS’ Services automatically may collect certain categories of usage and technical Information. This Information is used to facilitate operation of CCS’ Services, maintain quality of Services, and provide general statistics regarding use of Services. This Information may include one or more of the following:

  • IP address, which is the number associated with the service through which you access the Internet, such as your ISP (internet service provider);
  • Date and time of your visit or use of our Services;
  • Domain server from which you are using our Services;
  • Type of computer, web browsers, search engine, operating system, or platform you use;
  • Data identifying web pages visited prior to and after visiting our website or using our Services;
  • Your movement and activity within the website, which is aggregated with other Information; and
  • Mobile device Information, including the type of device you use, operating system version, and device identifier (or “UDID”).

C. Information Collected by Cookies & Technologies

We (and/or certain service providers operating on our behalf) may collect information regarding your activity, or activity on devices associated with you, over time, on our Website/applications and across non-affiliated websites/applications, to analyze users’ experience in order to improve our provision of Services. We may collect this Information by using certain technologies, including cookies, web beacons, tags, and scripts, as further described below.

  • Cookies or Browser Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent.   • Web Beacons. Our Website and emails related to CCS Services may contain small electronic files, known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs), which permit CCS, for example, to count users who have visited the Website or opened an email from CCS,  to record the popularity of a certain Website section, or to verify CCS system and server integrity). CCS also uses UTMs and web beacons – in HTML emails – to determine whether recipients open the emails and/or click on links included in the emails.
  • Analytics and Fraud Detection. CCS may use Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to compile data regarding Website traffic and use of Services. Google may share compiled data with outside third-party services and websites, for their use in furthering advertising networks. We may also use reCAPTCHA, a tool which utilizes advanced risk analysis techniques to distinguish humans and bots in order to protect the Website from fraud, spam, and/or abuse.   • Mobile Application Technologies.  If you access our Services through our mobile application, we may automatically collect Information about your device, your phone number, and your physical location.

D. Information We May Receive From Third Parties

We may collect additional Information about you from third-party websites, social media platforms, and/or sources providing publicly available information (e.g., from the U.S. postal service) to provide Services to you, prevent fraud, and support marketing and advertising purposes.
This Privacy Policy applies only to Information collected in relation to our Services. We are not responsible for privacy and security practices of other websites or social media platforms or the information they may collect (which may include IP address). Third parties should directly be contacted regarding their respective privacy policies. Inclusion of other website links or content does not constitute or imply an endorsement or recommendation by CCS of any website, social media platform, and/or content.

How We Use Your Information

Use and Purpose of Processing Your Information

CCS may use personal information for one or more of the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and facilitate requested Services and Information;
  • To respond to inquiries and questions and provide customer service;
  • To further general or targeted marketing and advertising purposes, including sending promotional material or special offers on our behalf or on behalf of our marketing partners and/or their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, and other third parties, provided you have not opted-out of receiving such communications;
  • To fulfill contracts we have with you;
  • To manage, improve, and foster relationships with third-party service providers, including vendors, suppliers, and parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and business partners;
  • To maintain, improve, customize, and administer Services, perform business analyses, and effectuate other internal purposes to improve the quality of our business and Services, resolve technical problems, or improve security or develop other products and services;
  • To comply with our Terms & Conditions;
  • To conduct Analytics for business purposes and business intelligence;
  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations and respond to lawful requests; and/or
  • To further any other purposes disclosed to you at the time your Information is collected and/or pursuant to your consent.

We may also use Information that has been de-identified and/or aggregated for purposes not otherwise listed above.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy and in the following circumstances:

  • Third-Party Service Providers.  We may disclose your Information to third-party service providers that perform certain functions or services on our behalf (such as to host the Services, manage databases, perform analyses, process credit card payments, provide customer service, or send communications for us). These third-party service providers are authorized to use your Information only as necessary to provide these services to us. In some instances, we may aggregate Information we collect so third parties do not have access to your identifiable Information to identify you individually.
  • Disclosure of Information for Legal and Administrative Reasons. Use of Analytics & Tracking Tools

We use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Turtl and HotJar, to track usage of our website for the purposes of improving and optimizing our Services. Google Analytics, HubSpot, Turtl and HotJar are website analytics service offered by third parties that track and reports website traffic and usage information.
We use Google Analytics with Restricted Data Processing enabled, and data sharing with Google products and services disabled. Google is granted access to your IP address only to provide analytics on traffic through our website as a service provider, and Google is not authorized to use your information for any other purpose, including building a profile about you and serving targeted advertising to you. Similarly, HubSpot, Turtl and HotJar is granted access to your information only to provide analytics services to CCS.

You can opt out of having your activity available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing your usage data with Google Analytics. Sale & Sharing of Your Information

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “sell,” “sold,” or “sale” means the disclosure of Information for monetary or other valuable consideration but does not include, for example, the transfer of Information as an asset that is part of a merger, bankruptcy, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business. “Sharing” means disclosing or making available Information to a third-party for purposes of cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

While we do not disclose information to third parties in exchange for monetary compensation, we may use your personal information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us at privacy@ccsfundraising.com.

We use certain service providers to assist in and facilitate our marketing efforts, including HubSpot and Turtl. These service providers are granted access to your information only to assist CCS with marketing activities, and these service providers may not use your information for any other purpose.

We do not sell or share sensitive Information, nor do we sell or share Information about individuals we know are under age sixteen (16).

Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Information

We do not collect, use, or disclose Sensitive Information beyond purposes authorized by applicable law. Accordingly, we only use and disclose Sensitive Information as reasonably necessary and proportionate to: (i) perform our services requested by you; (ii) help ensure security and integrity, including to prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents; (iii) detect, prevent and respond to malicious, fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal conduct; (iv) verify or maintain the quality and safety of our services; (v) comply with our legal obligations; (vi) assist service providers who perform services on our behalf; and (vii) fulfil purposes unrelated to including or inferring characteristics about you.

Information Security

We use commercially reasonable and appropriate administrative, physical, and technical security measures to provide our Services and safeguard Information entrusted to us. However, please be aware that no electronically transmitted data stored or maintained by us or our third-party service can be 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot promise or guarantee the absolute security of your Information. We also are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security features. You agree that we will not have any liability for misuse, access, acquisition, deletion, or disclosure of your Information. If you believe your Information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized person, you should promptly Contact Us so that necessary measures can quickly be taken.

Retention of Your Information

CCS will retain your Information for as long as is needed to provide its Services. We will retain and use your Information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements and policies. In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Information you have submitted to us. We are under no obligation to store such Information indefinitely and disclaim any liability arising out of, or related to, the destruction of such Information.

Exercising Your Data Subject Rights

To exercise any of the rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us via the methods described below.  The verifiable consumer request must:

  • Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Information, or an authorized representative; and
  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

To help protect your privacy and maintain security, if you request access to or deletion of your Information, we will take steps and may require you to provide certain information to verify your identity before granting you access to your Information or complying with your request. Geographic Location of Data Storage and Processing

Our Services are targeted to individuals located inside the United States, and we maintain significant operations in the United States. As such, the Services collect Information and process and store that Information in databases located in the United States. “Do Not Track” Signals

We do not support “Do Not Track.”  Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. Do Not Track is different from GPC which may notify websites of consumers’ privacy preferences regarding the sale or sharing of Information, targeted advertising, or the use of sensitive personal Information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change, modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our products and service offerings, accommodate new technologies, regulatory requirements, or other purposes.
