How We Helped

Our Partnership

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) unites the cancer community to reduce the global cancer burden, to promote greater equity, and to integrate cancer control into the world health and development agenda. The organisation has a rapidly increasing membership base of over 1,000 organisations in more than 160 countries. It represents the world’s major cancer societies, ministries of health, and patient groups, and includes influential policy makers, researchers, and experts in cancer prevention and control.

Working together over three years, CCS provided on-site management and strategic direction to design and implement UICC’s first ever fundraising campaign. Entitled Together We are Stronger, the initiative progressed on schedule, surpassing its Phase I goal and raising over $17 million to support high-impact projects. The success of the campaign helped UICC strengthen its relationships with its leading member organisations and develop new private sector partnerships.
