If You Build It, Will They Give? Rethinking Campaign Phases
This session explores how donor psychology evolves when a project shifts from aspiration to inevitability and how healthcare philanthropy teams must adapt their strategies to sustain belief, engagement, and leadership giving. Drawing on behavioral philanthropy research and real-world campaign experience, participants will examine donor archetypes, generational dynamics, clinician engagement, and stewardship practices that restore donor agency and trust once a project is already underway.
Participants will leave with a practical framework for reframing the philanthropic case beyond bricks and mortar and for positioning stewardship, clinician voices, and donor partnership as central to the campaign.

Strategic Fundraising Planning Using a ‘Balcony and Front Row’ Framework
This session focuses on equipping leaders with a practical approach to transform strategic vision into actionable fundraising priorities. Using the Balcony and Front Row Framework, participants will learn how to bridge the gap between ambition and execution through structured prioritization and case development.
With a real-world case study from Essentia Health—a multi-state health system in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota— this session will demonstrate how the framework unified diverse priorities, engaged stakeholders, and created a roadmap for transformational giving. Key topics include defining campaign pillars, applying evaluation criteria, and designing modular cases that resonate across regions and donor audiences.
