An Thuy Nguyen

An Nguyen has spent nearly two decades partnering with nonprofit leaders to realize aspirational visions through extraordinary campaigns and strategic fundraising growth. A Bay Area native, she has a deep appreciation for the vital role philanthropy plays in preserving the natural beauty and institutions that foster cultural diversity and societal welfare, while also advancing innovation necessary for progress.   

She has extensive experience in development assessments, managing seven- to nine-figure campaigns, fundraising training for board and development staff, leading major donor fundraising programs, and facilitating community engagement.  

Her proudest moments involve co-creating fundraising narratives and practices that advance greater equity and representation. A life and career highlight was supporting the partners of India Basin Waterfront Park, a 10-acre park project in one of San Francisco’s most underserved neighborhoods. An guided the partnership in building and stewarding a leadership body that was truly representative of the local community, raising $75 million, and developing an innovative Donor Recognition Program that honored the community’s unique history, culture, and diversity.  

An lives in San Jose, CA with her husband, two children, and two rescue dogs. She is a retired Ironman—having competed in dozens of Olympic-distance triathlons, two half Ironmans, and three full Ironmans.
