The Full Story

Erik’s path into philanthropy was influenced early on by his mother’s work in fundraising (including leading a campaign to build a state-of-the-art child language clinic in Tucson, Arizona) and a family ethos grounded in service. Those experiences inform the perspective he brings to CCS today as an Executive Vice President: thoughtful, collaborative, and centered on helping organizations unlock generosity in ways that reflect their mission and community.

Over the decades with CCS, Erik has led transformative initiatives across faith-based institutions, healthcare systems, educational organizations, and environmental nonprofits. His colleagues turn to him for calm leadership, strategic clarity, and his ability to create space for clients to think deeply about their goals. Whether guiding a major gift effort or conducting a development assessment, he approaches each engagement with a blend of empathy, analytical rigor, and disciplined planning.

Raised partly in South America and Arizona, Erik is fluent in Spanish. Erik lives with his family in the suburbs of Worcester, Massachusetts, where he is active in the community and engaged in causes that advance equity, education, and environmental stewardship.

We’re very fortunate to have a deep bench of highly experienced and mission-minded professionals at CCS. I’m continually inspired by the generosity with which colleagues share their expertise and the ease with which we can ask for and offer first-hand guidance in virtually any situation.
