The Full Story
Nana brings a decade of experience in nonprofit development and management, shaped by a dedication to community-centered work. Early in her career, she helped secure vital funding for programs supporting communities in the Washington, DC region. Her time at UNCF marked a defining chapter: she led a rapid-response initiative that raised more than $80 million in seven months to support students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The experience strengthened her belief in philanthropy as a vehicle for both opportunity and justice.
As a Senior Vice President at CCS, Nana partners with organizations navigating complex challenges and moments of major transition. She brings clarity to strategic planning efforts, helps teams articulate bold goals, and creates pathways that align vision with capacity. Her work has included overseeing CCS’s collaboration with the Government of Barbados to launch a campaign for the Barbados Heritage District[MF1] —a landmark memorial project honoring the legacy of the Transatlantic slave trade and advancing global conversations about memory, healing, and belonging. Nana serves on CCS’s DEIB & Culture Committee of the Board.
Nana also contributes to the broader social sector through service on the board of TCP and participation in committees and grant review panels focused on education and social services. She holds an MPA in International Development and Nonprofit Management from George Washington University and a BA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
She resides in Baltimore, where she remains engaged in community life and finds joy in exploring the intersections of culture, history, and social change.
