Allison is a former attorney who turned to leading strategic HR almost 20 years ago. She has led global HR in many different settings, from educational services to publishing to tech to cultural institutions. Allison views business through the lens of talent, leading with the view that excellence in diversity and inclusion is a key business advantage.

Edward Van Saders leads Financial Operations and Business Strategy for CCS and was named a Notable LGBTQIA+ Leader by Crain’s New York Business in 2024. Edward has 30 years of experience in leadership roles across a broad range of start-ups, global media companies, and nonprofits. In this role, Edward oversees all financial functions.

Prior to joining CCS, Edward was the Chief Strategy Officer of a portfolio of privately owned media assets, leading finance, corporate development, and administration for 12 years. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of AccuWeather, the digital brand Heavy.com, and the environmental media company EcoMedia (subsequently sold to CBS). Earlier in his career, he held financial leadership positions at NBC-Universal, News Corporation, and the Jim Henson Company.

Edward holds a BFA and a certificate in nonprofit management from Marymount Manhattan College and previously served on the Board of Trustees. Edward resides in Rockland County and Cape Cod with his family, including triplet daughters.

Arshia Sultan serves as the Executive Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at CCS. She leads the strategy and implementation of transformative company culture and employee engagement initiatives with a strong emphasis on continuous learning, empathy, and collaboration.

Prior to taking the position as head of DEIB, Arshia led the CCS Learning and Development team. She has a proven track record of designing and executing impactful training programs that enhance employee skills and foster professional growth, including CCS’s onboarding programming, live and on-demand curriculum, and executive training initiatives. Her expertise in adult learning principles and organizational development uniquely positions her to drive effective DEIB strategies that are both educational and transformative.

A proud NYU alum, Arshia currently resides in Chicago with her husband and two children and is an active volunteer, serving on the board of her daughter’s school and volunteering at various local nonprofits.

In her current role, Lauren Handwerker works closely with the executive team and firm leadership to advance firmwide initiatives with a focus on strategy development and growth planning efforts. Lauren previously managed talent acquisition and works closely with the HR team. She spent the first several years of her career at CCS in client services working as a Director with clients across all sectors.

Lauren received her MBA from NYU Stern and holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University. She serves on the Board of the New York chapter of Women in Development (WiD). Lauren resides in Westport, CT with her husband and daughter.

Annie Reynolds is an Executive Vice President with the Central United States team at CCS Fundraising. Based in Chicago, Annie works closely with the firm’s leadership to partner with organizations to help them achieve their extraordinary missions by providing strategic and operational support. She has worked across all sectors with clients pursuing fundraising targets ranging from $1M-$500M.

Annie has led dozens of campaign planning, development assessment, case development, custom learning, and campaign management efforts during her tenure at CCS, including managing the launch and implementation of over 100 feasibility and planning studies.

She specializes in development audit and assessment work, structure and systems reviews, major gift strategy, philanthropic landscaping research, and prospect pipeline development, as well as developing and designing cases for support, gift proposals, impact reports, and other fundraising collateral and communications. She has deep experience in building and implementing actionable recommendations for enhancing development efforts and growing fundraising dollars.

Originally from Indianapolis, Annie now lives in Chicago with her husband David and daughter Emilia.

Lindsey manages CCS’s Central United States operations team out of the Chicago office. She serves as a member of the region’s executive leadership and provides dedicated focus to propelling our firm’s growth mindset. In her daily work, she partners with leaders across the region and firm to identify and implement strategic initiatives related to business development, recruitment, talent management, communications, and other operational priorities. 

Lindsey also partners on select client engagements, leveraging her skills in communications, creative messaging, data analysis, staffing, and overall fundraising planning as well as a passion for service stemming from her training as a social worker. 

Lindsey has dedicated her career to supporting nonprofit causes. She strongly believes in the power of philanthropy in advancing missions and ultimately transforming communities. “The impact of nonprofit organizations on our society is undeniable,” says Lindsey. “It is a privilege to help drive the operations of a firm so committed to continuously elevating this important work.” 

Lindsey received her master’s degree from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice and a bachelor’s degree from University of Miami. She was raised in a small town outside of Kansas City, Missouri and now lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband, son, and a house full of pets.

Sarah is Principal and Managing Director at CCS Fundraising, where she leads the firm’s Boston office and serves as a member of the CCS Board of Directors. Since joining CCS in 2012, Sarah has advised institutions across the nonprofit sector—including healthcare, education, science, culture, and social justice—on ambitious fundraising efforts with goals ranging from $3 million to $8 billion. Her expertise includes campaign planning studies, major gift program development, interim development leadership, and comprehensive capital campaign management. She has specific experience helping organizations with emerging or startup fundraising programs scale for transformational growth.

Under Sarah’s leadership, the New England office has more than doubled in size and impact. She has also helped lead strategic direction for the firm as co-chair of the Board’s Innovation Committee and current chair of the Business Strategy Committee. Sarah is the co-founder of CCS Elevate, the firm’s platform for advancing thought leadership in philanthropy.

A frequent speaker and sought-after advisor, Sarah has presented at industry conferences including AFP, AHP, CASE, AAMC, and Women in Development. Her insights have been featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and in several nonprofit sector podcasts.

Sarah’s background in political fundraising and her experience living and working in diverse communities across the U.S. have shaped her people-centered approach to leadership. She is committed to community and creativity through her service on the board of Arts for Learning Massachusetts, the host committee for Boston Medical Center, and performing with a flute ensemble through the Boston Flute Academy. Sarah lives with her husband and young daughter in Dorchester.

Eric Javier is a Principal and Managing Director with CCS Fundraising, the largest fundraising strategy and management firm in the world.  For more than 20 years Eric has been a trusted advisor to leading nonprofit executives, trustees, and development leaders.  He has helped design and implement more than 200 fundraising campaigns and initiatives that have raised over $2 billion to make a positive difference in communities all around the world.  Eric’s primary areas of expertise include feasibility and planning studies; capital and endowment campaigns; major donor programs; principal gift solicitation strategies; strategic development planning; case messaging and storytelling; board development; and coaching and training.

“The truest definition of philanthropy is ‘love of humanity.’ It’s a privilege to work with passionate leaders who are working so hard to make positive change in the world. Philanthropy is the fuel that makes that change possible,” says Eric. Eric frequently speaks about philanthropy and development strategy at professional conferences, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and the League of American Orchestras.

Eric is a proud graduate of Regis High School and the College of the Holy Cross. He resides in Westchester, NY with his wife, Kristin, their two daughters, and rescued dog, Oscar.

Greg Hagin, Principal & Managing Director, provides fundraising counsel and philanthropic advice to the nonprofit sector and social impact space. A former member of the CCS Board of Directors, he co-chaired the Innovation Committee and serves on the Finance and Audit Committee. Greg leads the firm’s Philadelphia, Sydney, and Toronto offices in addition to its Systems and Analytics practices. In his 20-plus years of experience, he has advised hundreds of executive leaders, philanthropic partnerships, and development initiatives that have raised over $10 billion collectively, positively impacting tens of millions of lives.

An accomplished writer and facilitator, Greg has taught for more than a decade at The Wharton School and the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been invited to speak at national nonprofit organizations, industry conferences, universities, and corporations. Greg is the co-author of AI in Fundraising, which addresses the potential of AI in modern fundraising practices.

In 2020, Greg joined the World Economic Forum in Davos, and in 2021 became a Mentor for Unusual Pioneers, a global program established by Yunus Social Business, the World Economic Forum’s Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, and Porticus. Deeply committed to the nonprofit community, Greg is a former Board member at Fairmount Park Conservancy and a past Board President for Habitat for Humanity of Philadelphia. He serves on the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Board and is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia, Chairman’s Council for the Mann Center, and the Development Council for U.S. Soccer Federation.

After opening CCS’s flagship Philadelphia office in 2018, Greg was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. He was later honored as one of Philadelphia’s Most Admired CEOs and in 2023, joined YPO. Since 2020, CCS Philadelphia has been recognized as a Top-25 Management Consulting Firm in the Book of Lists.

Greg earned his MBA from the Wharton School and BA from Boston College. He also studied abroad at the University of New South Wales and Singapore Management University. Greg began his career in sports broadcasting with NBC Olympics in Sydney and Salt Lake City, then ABC Sports in Japan and South Korea for the FIFA World Cup. He has visited, studied, and worked in 45 countries across all seven continents.
