Enhancing Radiology to Fight Cancer

The American College of Radiology’s Imaging Network (ACRIN) is a National Cancer Institute funded cooperative group dedicated to conducting clinical cancer trials of diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapeutic technologies. CCS conducted a $5 million campaign to fund new clinical trials, public awareness programs, and operational endowment for the network, raising more than $7.2 million. CCS also assisted the College with a successful $5 million campaign for the Radiology Leadership Institute to build leaders within the profession and provide radiologists with greater business acumen.

The Challenge

To fulfill the promise of ACRIN and launch new clinical trials, public awareness programs, and an operational endowment, ACR established The ACRIN Fund for Imaging Innovation. This campaign – the first of its kind for ACR – sought $5 million in philanthropic support from corporations, foundations, and individual members.

The Solution

CCS conducted a study and managed this special campaign, raising more than $7.2 million.

The Impact

ACR also worked with CCS to launch the successful $5 million campaign for the Radiology Leadership Institute with a focus on building leaders within the profession.

CCS’s innovative and professional approach allowed us to achieve an unprecedented level of financial support from our donors. Our highly successful campaign has helped us strengthen our ties with our supporters and has positioned the American College of Radiology as a stronger organization.
