The Full Story
Tyler entered philanthropy through the classroom. As a special education teacher with Teach for America, he learned how mission-driven work demands both compassion and rigor—an approach that continues to shape his partnerships with clients.
As a Senior Vice President at CCS, Tyler advises organizations navigating pivotal moments, from strategic planning and feasibility assessments to major fundraising campaigns and multi-year growth initiatives. His work centers on aligning leadership, strengthening internal infrastructure, and empowering teams to grow confidently and sustainably.
Outside his client engagements, Tyler remains deeply connected to service. He is an active Teach For America alum and has volunteered as a crisis counselor with The Trevor Project, supporting LGBTQ+ youth through moments of acute vulnerability. These commitments reflect the values that ground his professional life: care, accountability, and a belief in the power of community.
Tyler holds a B.A. in International Relations from Colgate University and lives in Brooklyn with his partner, David, and their dog, Parker. In his time off, he’s often reading in Prospect Park, perfecting his chocolate chip cookie recipe, or babysitting his nephew, Jack.
It’s an incredible privilege to work every day alongside nonprofit leaders who are implementing exciting solutions to our society’s most difficult problems.
