Rafal joined CCS in 2013 to advise the Family of Faith campaign for the Archdiocese of Toronto, working with the Executive Director, individual parishes, over 200 volunteers, Diocesan leadership, staff and individual directors to ensure the most successful faith-based capital campaign in Canadian history. The effort exceeded all expectations, raising $170 million on a goal of $105 million.
An expert in feasibility studies, capital campaigns and extraordinary fundraising initiatives, Rafal has had the privilege of working across multiple sectors, with organizations based in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. More recently, he was engaged with SS. Peter & Paul on a $20 million capital campaign to fund the construction of a new school campus, the first such fundraising endeavor for the school. Most recently, Rafal conducted a strategic planning initiative for the Ukrainian Catholic University, providing actionable, long-term strategic advice and philanthropic planning ahead of an ambitious, comprehensive campaign.
Rafal has partnered with numerous organizations to provide strategic counsel for complex multi-year capital campaigns, as well as conduct feasibility studies and assessments. Engaged across a variety of sectors, Rafal has extensive experience in shaping overall campaign strategy, comprehensive campaign management, principal gifts, prospect research, volunteer management and case development.
To date, Rafal has advised clients and projects that have raised more than $250 million to support their charitable goals.
